Interfacing between people and the processes that support them
A number of ongoing projects were also completed in the year, including a study in conjunction with Verona University’s Department of Psychology and Cultural Anthropology on the group’s performance management system and the way, in particular, that it is applied in Italy. This initiative, which was undertaken to foster our people’s involvement in identifying company performance improvement objectives, analysed three main aspects: perceived degree of organisational fairness, assessment system adopted by the organisation together with the related system of rewards, and job satisfaction. The results of the study enabled us to identify a number of areas for intervention, including through training initiatives, to enhance the attitudes, expectations, perceptions and behaviour of personnel in their use of this important management tool. Our centenary year was thus not only an important year for the group as a whole, but also saw HR entirely fulfil its innovative role as a key player in the development and implementation of our group organisational structure, management systems and strategy, helping prepare Zambon and its people for the competitive challenges of the future
