An integrated structure focused on performance
For the first one hundred years of Zambon's life, our fine chemicals and pharmaceutical operations were conducted side by side, gradually separating into specialist divisions as a result of their successful growth. Fittingly, the centenary year celebrating our foundation in November 1906 and a history that has built us into Italy's biggest chemical and pharmaceutical company, also saw Zambon looking to the future, as it has always done, and paving the way for future achievements. A comprehensive new strategy to enhance the specialist strengths of our core businesses was consequently launched in 2007.
The first steps in this project were completed at the beginning of the year, when we spun off our fine chemicals and pharmaceutical divisions into two entirely separate specialist subsidiaries, named ZaCh System S.p.A. (Zambon Advanced Fine Chemicals) and Zambon S.p.A. respectively. Each of the new companies gains increased focus and flexibility, while continuing to benefit from the solidity and synergies of a large multinational group. Both are wholly-owned subsidiaries of our new holding company Zambon Company S.p.A., as is our corporate venture specialist Z-Cube S.p.A.
All three subsidiaries continue to operate with the same expert teams and advanced technologies and facilities, offering ever-higher standards of quality, dedicated customer service and support thanks to their new independence and focus.
