Every company history has turning points in which a decisive move supports its future growth and enriches its identity. The year 2006 was just such a year for Zambon, seeing us launch a comprehensive new strategic plan and take the opportunity of our Centenary celebrations to involve all our people in this step change, building a pro-active dialogue that has enabled them to participate in and “own” the process of change itself and the future identity and success of our group.
Our Centenary Events were thus focused less on what we have achieved in the past than on gaining a full, detailed and clear understanding of the business scenario in which we are currently operating, the opportunities and threats it presents, and the projects in which we are investing to develop and leverage our distinctive strengths, furthering the vision on which our centenary celebrations were focused. That we approached the process of change in this way is in fact nothing new in itself, reflecting long-established Zambon practices that have constantly engaged our personnel in a relationship of two-way communications and support that has seen our HR department play a greater strategic role than has until very recently been the case in other organisations.
